Introducing the Twitter Radar

London, UK - 23rd February 2009, 12:21 GMT

Dear ATCA Open & Philanthropia Friends

[Please note that the views presented by individual contributors are not necessarily representative of the views of ATCA, which is neutral. ATCA conducts collective Socratic dialogue on global opportunities and threats.]

The significance of Twitter, as a 21st century communication medium, is underlined by the use of this technology by President Obama during his highly successful and ground-breaking campaign. From Davos in Switzerland to TED in California, 2009 has been a Twittering year! It was possible to get up-to-the-minute news, views, thoughts and observations about each and every main panel -- as well as simultaneous panels in other rooms -- from Twitter messages in real time. Further, ATCA was able to ask questions and influence dialogue in many panels via Twitter.

The Twitterverse (Twitter Universe) is metamorphosing the opportunity for Socratic dialogue in the 21st Century and points towards the future of niche and mass communication as well as breaking-news, reporting, analysis and executive decision making. This is precisely the reason why ATCA Open is embracing Twitter wholeheartedly.

It would be useful to have your considered input in regard to the following Twitters. Please click on the Twitter hyperlinks to read the articles:
