Rear Admiral John Hilton appointed


London, UK - 13 January 2004, 09:30 GMT - mi2g is delighted to announce the appointment of Rear Admiral John Hilton as non-executive Director with specific responsibility for special projects.

Rear Admiral John Hilton is an applied scientist with wide experience of many critical technologies that are key to the future of mi2g. He has been associated with the company since its early days and became a Senior Consultant in 1997, co-ordinating sensitive digitisation projects for some of mi2g's major banking and insurance clients worldwide.

"I am delighted to be joining the board of mi2g. I have a keen interest in the technologies involved, greatly admire the values to which they are committed and look forward to the opportunity of contributing to mi2g's future prosperity"
said Rear Admiral John Hilton.

Whilst in the Royal Navy as a Weapon Engineer, Rear Admiral John Hilton specialised in communication and information management systems, was a Director in the Procurement Executive and later President of the Ordnance Board.

"John Hilton's accession to the board comes at an important moment for mi2g as it addresses complex architectural issues associated with total information awareness systems for the banking, insurance and government sectors,"
said Geoffrey Hancock, Director and Company secretary, mi2g.

Rear Admiral John Hilton is a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers and a Director of Christian Engineers in Development. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science by The City University of London in 2000.
